Hello M.M. Robinson Families!

Yesterday, in addition to our stellar academics it was a day full of community-building.  Students performed Karaoke during the Lunch period and later that night had a great time at the Halloween Dance.  Thank you to our student volunteers and teachers for making these events happen.

Take Our Kids to Work Day - November 14

All grade 9 students received a letter and information package regarding Take Our Kids to Work Day this week in their period 5 class.  This event will be held on Wednesday, November 14 and provides an opportunity for students to test drive a career of interest and/or job-shadow a parent, guardian or other trusted adult.  Consent forms (last page of the attached package) are due back to period 5 teachers no later than Friday, November 2.  Please contact Lisa Galay in Guidance (ext. 238) if you have any questions.

Strong Athletes

The Girls Basketball program has been under development and growth this year. Many of our senior players played up at the Varsity level last season and this year those seniors are dominating the pack leading the division 8-0. They enter playoffs next week undefeated in the regular season. The girls are playing in the Semi-Finals next Friday, November 2nd in our home gym at 3:30pm. Don’t miss an exciting opportunity to come see our Rams basketball program and cheer on our girls! Eyes and hearts set on the Halton Championship!

MMR Spirit Wear is available!  Check it out! Sales end November 8th.  Students can try on sizes at lunch in the Foyer.  MMR Clothing Store

Grade 9 & 10 French Program Trip

We are excited to present a ski trip for our Grade 9 & 10 French program students at MMR in February 2019.   Students will experience an amazing four day cultural trip while being immersed in a French-speaking environment and participating in fun winter activities. Students will ski or snowboard, go ice skating and snowshoeing on the wonderful trails of the Belle Neige ski resort. There is a full cultural program planned for the evenings to accompany the outdoor activities. Students can attend a meeting on Tuesday October 30th at the beginning of lunch in room 321 where they will receive more details.  We are looking forward to this great opportunity!
