Français - Core, Extended and Immersion

Our FSL Program offers students the opportunity to grow in confidence and proficiency in their use of French.
Core French is offered to students from grade 9 to 12.
Extended French is offered to students who have completed 1260 hours of Extended French programing by the end of grade 8. At MMR, students will continue by taking 4 courses coded as FEF and 3 additional credits offered in French.
French Immersion is offered to students who have completed 3800 hours of French Immersion programing by the end of grade 8. At MMR, students will continue by taking 4 courses coded as FIF and 6 addition credits offered in French.

CGC1D4 - Canadian Geography (9)
CHC2D4 - Canadian History since 1914 (10)
GLC2O4/CHV2O4 - Careers and Civics (10)
HRT3M4 - World Religions and Traditional Beliefs (11)
HSP3U4 - Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology and Sociology (11)
CGC4U4 - World Issues : A Geographic Analysis
CPW4U4 - Canadian and International Politics

Students who participate in a grade 12 FSL course may have the opportunity to participate in the DELF (Diplôme d'études de langue française) examination.
